Congratulations on your engagement! What an exciting time for the two of you and your families! Thank you so much for reaching out and considering me for one of the most special days of your life! Because I love getting to know my couples, here are a few things you might not know about me.
Away from the camera and studio, you’ll find me hanging out with my husband, laughing out loud with my three kids who have grown up in the blink of an eye, dancing in my kitchen, watching HGTV for design inspiration, waiting for my peonies to bloom in June, and giving belly rubs to our mini-golden doodle, Bentley.
Eight years ago, I got the best birthday gift ever - red velvet cupcakes and a new, fancy DSLR camera. I was determined to figure out all of the bells and whistles of my new gift, and that meant I began to snap a gazillion photos of my family everyday. Photos became not only a gift to my family but to others as well.
I had no idea what was ahead.
I've been part of more than 100 wedding days. I still wake up everyday with joy to get to do what I love and serve my clients with the best experience and photos that they love and cherish. Let’s make a date for some time to chat! I’d love to hear more about you!

"The first conversation I had with her, we spent almost an hour on the phone. She was so wonderful, the connection was instant, there is no way I would have even considered another photographer to capture our day. Shawon made the entire process seamless. We booked her in May of 2018 for August 2019, and throughout that huge span of time she checked in with us, scheduled our engagement session, worked with us on our day of timeline and kept us completely in the loop and up to date on exactly what we could expect from her. My husband and I have both never liked photos of ourselves and always felt awkward in front of the camera. what to expect
I'm not a photographer who only shows up with a camera on your wedding day to take pictures, but I show up all in for you and for all that matters most to you on your wedding day.
I always ask my favorite question, and try my best to make sure that all of my couples are a great fit before officially booking. Connecting with your photographer, trusting them, and a personable experience are all important to the process.
After booking, you can expect some fun get to know you surprises, you engagement session scheduling if included, and wedding timeline planning as we get closer to your day. By the time the wedding day arrives, my clients feel more like friends and that puts them at ease and makes them feel comfortable.
I believe that beautiful moments should be remembered and felt forever. At the end of your wedding day, all of those beautiful moments and memories of everyone celebrating with you will all exist in your photos, and I truly value that.
The process begins with getting to know my couples. I love setting up a time to chat with my couples either over the phone or at my studio. This is the best way that I can ensure that you have an amazing photography experience on one of the most special days of your life.
I love listening to all of the details of your day, learning about your family and friends who will be celebrating you, and of course, smiling at your proposal stories and first dates!

engagement sessions
Save-the-Date
Engagements sessions are a great time to take a break from wedding planning, enjoy each other, and get comfortable in front of the camera. Sessions are booked at least two months in advance, and 30 miles of roundtrip travel are included from zip code 02053. Sessions are up to an hour and include approximately 40-50 high resolution digital images delivered via an online gallery to download, share and print.
Your engagement photos are perfect for Save-the-Dates, a canvas or an album to display on your wedding day for guests to leave you sweet notes, or to print and frame for your home along with your wedding photos.
When can we expect our engagement photos?
You can expect your engagement photos within three weeks of your session. You will receive an email with a link to your online gallery that will include a PIN to download and share. You can also order prints and cards from your gallery if you'd like.

Do you share any sneak peeks from our wedding day?
Absolutely! You can expect to see some sneak peeks of your wedding about a week after your day!

When will our wedding photos be ready?
Your wedding photos will be ready 4-6 weeks after your wedding date. You'll receive your gallery via email ready to download, print, and share.
Album selections will also be available to order.

Are our photos watermarked?
Your wedding photos are yours. They are not watermarked, you can download and share them online and you can share your gallery with your family and friends .

How many hours of photography coverage do we need?
Most couples need between 8-9 hours of coverage for their day. You can always add additional coverage as we get closer to your day and we have a good idea of your timeline. I’ll send out a detailed questionnaire to help plan your wedding photo timeline.

Can we add an album later?
Yes, yes, and yes! Your beautiful photos should be in an album.

Do you have insurance?
Absolutely, yes! If your venue requires a certificate, my insurance company will have that information sent to them within 48 business hours.

Do you work with a second photographer?
I haven't been able to convince my husband to join the studio as a second photographer, so I am the lead and solo photographer equipped with the biggest smile on my face, and two cameras ready to anticipate every moment of your day. Getting ready photos are handled with the ease of the photo timeline allowing me to photograph both of you getting ready if your groom would like getting ready photos.

How do we book our date?
When I've answered all of your questions, and you've decided that we are a great fit, you can send an email my way to get the online booking process started. Your date is officially booked once your contract and $1000 retainer are received. The balance would be due 30 days before your wedding date.
